PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed body for shock absorption having both of shock absorbing property and excellent weather resistance, suitable for a ball for sports, grip for a writing utensil or a grip for a fishing rod, etc. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the foamed body for shock absorption obtained by crosslinking and foaming a mixture comprising≥50 wt.% of hydrogenated styrene-butadiene-based resin having a glass transition point of 10-20°C as a main polymer, a foaming agent, a crosslinking agent and an auxiliary, with a foaming ratio of 5-12 times and the foamed body has≤20% a repulsive elasticity modulus and≥90% of retention of elongation after 100 hr exposure with a sun shine weatherometer. The polymer comprises the main polymer composed of the hydrogenated styrene-butadiene-based resin having 10-20°C of the glass transition point and optionally a low density polyethylene to adjust the hardness of the foamed body for shock absorbing.
