The invention relates to a guarantee card automation system that enables the issue and use in the electronic environment by a card system, of letters of guarantee furnished by contractors to contracting entities for the works they undertake to complete under a contract. The system, subject of the invention, has a guarantee card center (1) that satisfies the guarantee related conditions for qualification among the bidder (2), the contracting entity's accounting office (4) and the financial institution (3) in the electronic environment; a guarantee card (6) that ensures to bidders (2) against securities provided to financial institutions (3), the acquisition of a printout (8) for use as a letter of guarantee on competitions to be held in the future; POS devices (7) reading guarantee cards, available at the contracting entity's accounting office or the financial institution's branch office; and POS printouts (8) containing the guarantee related information, obtained from POS devices (7) at the accounting office (4) or the financial institution upon an instruction given in the electronic environment.
