PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a process time of, especially, a liquid crystal display device having a driving circuit mounted thereon and to prevent short-circuit between a common electrode of a color filter array substrate and a driving circuit part of a thin film transistor array substrate, with respect to the liquid crystal display device and a method of fabricating the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a common electrode 382 formed on an upper substrate 311, a gate driver formed on a lower substrate 341 facing the upper substrate 311, an insulating pattern 350 formed on the common electrode 382 facing the gate driver, and a conductive sealant 186 for bonding the upper substrate 311 and the lower substrate 341 together.
