PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid housing package which can properly suppress the leakage of a liquid resulting from the separation of a structure regarding the sealing of the liquid from a sheet material of a liquid bag, or the reduction of the gas barrier functionality of the liquid bag while contriving to seal the liquid at the pierced section of a liquid guiding-out needle. SOLUTION: One piece of a rectangular sheet material which has been folded back into two is folded back into two, and at the same time, the external edge sections of the sheet material which is overlapped by the folding back are heat-welded to each other, and thus, an ink bag 11 for storing ink is formed. A sealing member 12 which is formed of an elastic member (elastomer) for preventing ink leakage from the pierced section of the ink guiding-out needle from occurring is heat-welded and fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the folded back section of the ink bag 11 to constitute an ink package 10.
