PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water soluble anticorrosive excellent in corrosion resistance which is capable of preventing corrosion and scale formation of a steam generator for a boiler, etc. SOLUTION: The water soluble anticorrosive contains a polyether polyamine expressed by general formula (1). In the formula, H represents a hydrogen atom; C denotes an oxygen atom, N represents a nitrogen atom; R<SP>1</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or 2-18C univalent or bivalent hydrocarbon group; R<SP>2</SP>represents 2 to 18C hydrocarbon group; A represents 2-14C alkylene group; p represents an integer from 0 to 10; x, y and z represent an integer from 0 to 20; q is 1 when R<SP>1</SP>is the hydrogen atom or the univalent hydrocarbon group and 2 when R<SP>1</SP>is a bivalent hydrocarbon group; p×y+z+z is an integer from 2 to 50; (carbon atoms of R<SP>1</SP>)+(carbon atoms of R<SP>2</SP>)×p is an integer from 3 to 36.
