PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bleaching detergent composition for clothes, exhibiting excellent disinfecting effects and deodorant effects. SOLUTION: The bleaching detergent composition for the clothes contains (A) 0.005-10 mass% of an extract of a specific plant such as a plant of the genus Melaleuca of Myrtaceae expressed in terms of solid, (B) a nonionic surfactant, (C) an inorganic peroxide and (D) one or more kinds of bleaching activators represented by the formulas (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a 7-13C alkyl group or alkenyl group; and M is a hydrogen atom or a cation imparting water solubility to the bleaching activator) in the figure.
