摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification method which enables a person who touches an extremely thin specific element to identify the element without incorporating other components into the element and without forming difference in surface level or ruggedness on the surface thereof. SOLUTION: Areas having different roughness are formed on one and the same surface. For example, on the smooth surface 22 of a metal plate 20, thin and long rectangular shaped rough areas 32 and 34 having rougher surface roughness than the surface roughness of the surface 22 are formed in two rows without difference in surface level. When a person runs a finger along the space 24 between the tow-row rough areas 32 and 34 with the finger kept in contact with the surface, the person feels as if the space 24 were recessing with respect to the two-row rough areas 32 and 34.
