PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to simply and quantitatively detect a Tricholoma matsutake-derived component present in food and drink, a drug and the like with accuracy. SOLUTION: The method of detecting a Tricholoma matsutake-derived component comprises detecting the Tricholoma matsutake-derived component with the use of an antibody which specifically binds to anα-glucan-protein complex derived from Tricholoma matsutake. For example, by performing the ELISA with the use of an antibody to MPG-1 (anti-MPG-1 antibody) of anα-glucan-protein complex inherent in Tricholoma matsutake, the Tricholoma matsutake derived component can be quantitatively detected with high accuracy. Accordingly, the content of a specificα-glucan-protein complex in, for example, food and drink and the like can be quantitatively detected, and further whether or not the food and drink actually contain a Tricholoma matsutake-derived component can be easily distinguished with high accuracy.
