[PROBLEMS] A rotary cutter for a mower, which is reduced in size and weight and in which cord replacement workability is improved. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The rotary cutter is used to mow grass etc. by a cord with a desired length extended in the radial direction of a cutting head rotated by a drive shaft. The rotary cutter has at a head body at least one fastening means for fixing one end of the cord. The inner end of the cord inserted through a head body sidewall is fastened by the fastening means, and when the cord is worn out, the cord is removed and replaced with a new one. The cord fastening means is placed near a tube shaft section to which the drive shaft is connected, where the tube shaft section is located inside the cutting head body. A cord outlet for removing the cord is provided on the tube shaft section side. The inner end section of the cord is extended outside from the cord outlet, along a sidewall of the shaft tube section of the cutting head body. |
