A VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) system and a call log providing method of the VoIP system are provided to allow a user of a VoIP terminal to remotely receive a call log of a terminal which he/she has frequently used even though he/she is located in a different area away from the terminal. The first terminal receives a call log request for the second terminal from a user, generates a MESSAGE(200) including call log request information(210) and transmits it. The second terminal receives the MESSAGE, searches the call log information requested by the first terminal from its call log DB, generates a 200 OK message including the call log information, and transmits it to the first terminal. The call log request information includes a phone number, a password, and information on the number of requested call logs of the second terminal. The call log information includes the phone number, the number of requested call logs, and a call log list of the second terminal.
