<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial composition capable of exerting antimicrobial effects on ordinary microbes and oral cavity microbes even if containing neither Melaleuca altermifolia oil nor alcohol in high concentrations. <P>SOLUTION: The antimicrobial composition is a mixture of Melaleuca altermifolia oil as an essential oil having antimicrobial effects with one or more essential oils among peppermint oil, lemon oil, ravensara oil, lemongrass oil, lemon eucalyptus oil, geranium oil, lavender oil, grapefruit oil, bergamot oil, rosewood oil and clove oil. This antimicrobial composition has further higher antimicrobial effects on ordinary microbes and oral cavity microbes than the case with Melaleuca altermifolia oil singly, enabling essential oil solubilization even if containing no alcohol. Therefore, even if persons with stomatitis, dry mouse or candidiasis use this composition, it can be used without feeling pain such as irritation, enhancing antimicrobial effects on ordinary microbes and oral cavity microbes as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
