<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement (especially with relation to spacial restriction) to a three dimensional volumetric in-heart imaging and intervening technique along an anatomical conduit. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging catheter assembly for use in volumetric ultrasonic imaging and catheter guide technique is provided with a transducer array 110 for collecting image data in a prescribed image pick-up surface, and a motion control device 140 coupled to the transducer array in such a way to translate the transducer array perpendicularly to the image pick-up surface direction for image pick-up to the three-dimensional volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
