PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a studless tire having improved on-ice performance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a studless tire comprises 5-25 pts.wt. chicken eggshell powder based on 100 pts.wt. rubber composition, wherein the chicken eggshell powder consists of (1) the chicken eggshell powder having an average particle diameter of <20μm and (2) the chicken eggshell powder having an average particle diameter of 40-200μm.
