PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film hardly reduced in the gas barrier properties at the time of hot water treatment or after hot water treatment. SOLUTION: The gas barrier film comprises an anchor coat layer formed on a base film and comprising a mixture containing at least one resin selected from the group consisting of acrylic-based resins, urethane-based resins and polyester-based resins and an oxazoline group-containing resin and having 6-80% by weight of the content of the oxazoline group-containing resin, further comprises a thin film comprising a metal compound selected from the group consisting of a metal oxide, a metal carbide, a metal nitride and a mixture of them on the anchor coat layer, wherein the heat treatment is conducted at a temperature of≥60°C and not higher than a melting point of the base film.
