PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dot-line printer enabling it to acquire a stable quantity of printing without increasing the power consumption of a hammer not only when the minimum value of a hammer drive period becomes shorter than a hammer repeatability by the fluctuation of load due to the unevenness of the accuracy of the parts of a shuttle mechanism section and the change of the applied environmental conditions, but also when the hammer performance degrades. SOLUTION: The dot-line printer is composed of a hammer mechanism section equipped with a plurality of hammers and moving to and fro along with a line direction, a shuttle mechanism section for making the hammer mechanism section move to and fro and a shuttle motor for driving the shuttle mechanism section, and performs a printing in the process of the hammer mechanism section moving to and fro. The dot-line printer for driving the hammer is equipped with an adjustment means for adjusting the number of rotation of the shuttle motor 8 within a predetermined range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
