PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of the number of sheets to be printable by an electric power which a battery of a printer possesses when the battery is charged, and to inform a user that charging electricity to the electric power necessary for printing the number of sheets of paper to be printed required by the user is completed, as all the users do not always have necessity to fully charge the battery in a battery-driven type printer operated by the electric power supplied from the battery. SOLUTION: A mode for setting the number of sheets for printing and charging electricity is provided, and charging electricity to the battery is performed in accordance with the number of sheets for printing set by the user. When charging electricity of the electric power for printing the set number of sheets for printing is completed, as it is informed for telling it, the user can know that charging electric power for printing the required number of sheets set in advance is completed, so that charging electricity for the electric power to be necessary for the user can be performed.
