PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combing work of bristle arrangement work in a process of spinning monofilament for a toothbrush and suppress the generation of static electricity. SOLUTION: This monofilament for the toothbrush is formed by applying dimethyl polysiloxane with a viscosity of 10-50 mm<SP>2</SP>/sec to the surface of the monofilament composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin.
