摘要

A transcoder comprises transcoder modules (12, 13) for converting the format of content stored in servers (2, 3) into a format supported by a renderer (4), and an internal controller (11) for comparing the format of each piece of content stored in the servers (2, 3) with the conversion functions of the transcoder modules (12, 13), creating a content format table where supportable content is described, and transferring a content acquisition request sent according to the content format table to the servers (2, 3).
