The system has an arrangement for producing at least two x-ray images of an object by directing x-rays (11) from at least two different points in space towards the object, an optical arrangement for recording at least two optical representations of the object from at least two further points optically corresponding to the at least two different points from which the x-rays are directed towards the object and an arrangement for superimposing the optical and x-ray images. An independent claim is also included for a method of recording and superimposing x-ray and optical images.
