<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to safely exchange and light an organic EL panel, and that, to appropriately judge its end of life. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL panel 1 has an organic EL element 4 formed on a substrate 3, and also, a characteristics information retaining part 5 retaining characteristics information of quality or the like of the organic element 4 as well as an information output terminal 6 for outputting characteristics information retained in the characteristics information retaining part 5 formed on a substrate 3.
