<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print data generation device, a print data generation method and a program, capable of generating print data whose image can be partially printed as a test with the same print image as actual printing. <P>SOLUTION: In this print data generation device, a pull-down menu is displayed in a trial print setting screen opened by selecting a trial print tab in a basic setting screen, and an area designation frame of frame size according to a ratio of trial print size/actual print size is displayed by a designated number (S40). When a trial print button is pushed (S110), an image area inside the area designation frame is trimmed (S120). The trial print data allowing a trimming image to be printed with the trial print size is generated and outputted with image condition description (S130). At that time, a partial image is cut out with the size according to the ratio of the trial print size/the actual print size, so that the trial print data are magnified with the same scaling as the actual printing, and a roughness of pixels is equal to the actual printing, to thereby perform the trial printing suitable to determine a printing condition (especially, an image quality condition such as a gamma, intent or the like) of the actual printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
