PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricated surface, a lubricant composition lubricating a surface and a method for increasing the abrasion resistance of a lubricant. SOLUTION: The lubricated surface is obtained by using a lubricant composition containing a base oil of a lubricating viscosity and a definite amount of at least one kind of titanium compound soluble in hydrocarbons and effective for increasing the abrasion resistance of a lubricant composition exceeding the abrasion resistance of a lubricant composition in which a hydrocarbon-soluble titanium compound is excluded.
