PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally set a travel route up to the next destination, when a passing destination is set within a traffic island arranged with a detour dedicated to an advancing route change in a periphery of an intersection, in a device capable of setting a travel route for a vehicle to travel up to the final destination through the passing destination. SOLUTION: In this device capable of setting sequentially the travel routes from the current position S to the first destination G1, and from the destination G1 to the next destination G2, when the plurality of destinations is assigned, the propriety of a direction toward the next destination G2 is determined out of right turn/left turn/rectilinear advance directions, in view from the intersection C when the passing destination G1 exists within the traffic island, the destination G1 is set on the detour L right-turnable in the traffic island (refer to Fig.a) when the destination G2 exists in the right turn direction, the destination G1 is set on the intersection left-turned in the intersection C (refer to Fig.b) when the destination G2 exists in the left turn direction, the destination G1 is set on a travel road advanced rectilinearly through the intersection C when the destination G2 exists in the rectilinear advance direction, and the route (dashed line) is thereby secured within the traffic island.
