PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice guide device capable of reporting object contents with a voice of a person concerned. SOLUTION: The voice guide device 1 receives an electronic mail from a center server 58 through the Internet and a gateway 50, and stores text data corresponding to the contents of the electronic mail in a voice content data storage section. In a voice synthesis section of the voice guide device 1, an analysis section takes a language analysis of the text data using information in a language database to generate text synthesis data and also recognizes the sender of the electronic mail. Then, a voice signal generation section generates voice signal data based upon the text synthesis data from the analysis section, and voice quality data and tone data from a context-dependent HMM. Lastly, a notification section reproduces the voice signal data to report the contents of the electronic mail with the voice of the sender. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
