PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate drive circuit which is applicable to a display device and can eliminate residual image after shut down. SOLUTION: The gate drive circuit comprises a first capacitor, a diode, a second capacitor, and a constant voltage regulator circuit. The first capacitor filters out high frequency surge and high frequency noise of an input voltage. The diode receives the input voltage and charges up the second capacitor by forwarding charges to the second capacitor and provides an input voltage to the constant voltage regulator circuit. Finally, after the voltage level of the constant voltage regulator circuit is converted, an output voltage is applied to a logic circuit of the display device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
