PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge device that can achieve high-efficiency collection of discharge products and life prolongation of a discharge product removing filter and to provide a photoreceptor electrostatic charger and a method of manufacturing a discharge product removing member. SOLUTION: The corona discharge device is equipped with a discharge electrode 1 for discharging, the discharge product removing member 4 which contains a substance capable of removing discharge products and is provided at the periphery of the discharge electrode 1, and a shield plate 3 which is provided between the discharge electrode 1 and discharge product removing member 4, and has a through hole 3a in a direction opposed to the discharge electrode 1 and in which at least a surface opposed to the discharge electrode 1 is made of a metallic material.
