PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a rocker arm. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the rocker arm, the side wall 16 of the body part 11 of the rocker arm is formed bent upward. To restraint the swing of a valve stem 4A, a positioning member 19 formed separately from the body part is fitted to a valve contact part 10. The positioning member is made of a wire.
