PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce jacking force required to insert into the natural ground a connected steel pipe sheet pile formed by alternately juxtaposing a pair of circular steel pipes and three joint steel members of H-shaped cross section and integrally fixing them. SOLUTION: The natural ground in front of the pair of circular steel pipes 5 is excavated respectively by first auger screws 30, and the natural ground in front of the three joint steel members 6, 7, 8 is excavated respectively by second auger screws 40. Sediment excavated by the second auger screws 40 is taken into the circular steel pipes 5 through through-holes 5a provided through the circular steel pipes 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
