PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily wearable kimono and a method for sewing the kimono, by which kimono corresponds to a clothes length of a wearer when being worn through sewing up into a dressing condition requiring only minimum adjustment without cutting a long kimono, and rapid and easy beautiful dressing with a tapered straight hem without pulling out chest pieces of a kimono to expose the neck or losing shape because of a hemline which comes below in a lower front body than an upper front body. SOLUTION: This easily wearable kimono is so designed that a clothes length L is settled through folding a surplus edge part 6A of a hem 6 of a kimono body 1, and a tuck part 8 is formed through tucking the half width of the surplus edge part in the waist girth and stitching 7A. Furthermore, in the collar part 5, closed edge parts 5a<SB>1</SB>and 5b<SB>1</SB>of collar edge parts 5a and 5b are unfastened up to a position nearly corresponding with the stitches of the tuck part from an upper gusset 2 and a lower gusset 2', or without unfastening the closed edge parts, the collar edge part is stitched in a condition of adjusting in a length the closed edge parts 5a1 and 5b1 through folding the surplus edge parts 5a2 and 5b2 of the collar edge part to a length nearly corresponding with the lower fold edge part 8a of the tuck part 8.
