PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cloth or cloth product decorated with one or more decorative cloth pieces fixed thereto, wherein a decorative cloth made of a separate cloth is fixed to a cloth, and, decorative cloth pieces of predetermined shape are cut out from the decorative cloth, neatly while reducing much labor or time required for the operation. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following procedures: A decorative cloth 12 larger than the decorative cloth pieces 12a are bonded or sewn to a cloth 11 to be decorated which constitutes the objective cloth or cloth product so that the directions of their stitches are approximately rectangular to each other at parts where these decorative cloth pieces 12a are to be fixed, thereafter a removing agent 14 capable of removing the decorative cloth 12 is applied outside the decorative cloth 12 along the outer circumferential profile L of the decorative cloth pieces 12a and finally the parts of the decorative cloth pieces 12a coated with the discharging agent 14 are removed.
