PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping property-imparting agent which has heat resistance, thereby being able of satisfactorily improving its damping performance and to provide a damping material which can fully exhibit damping performance. SOLUTION: The damping property-imparting agent comprises a triazine-based compound as an active ingredient. The damping property-imparting agent is blended with a resin material to be used. The damping material comprises a resin material as a base material and a triazine-based compound as a damping property-imparting component which imparts the damping performance to the resin material.
