PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material simply producible without using special polymerization equipment and having water repellency or oil repellency or both which are compatible. SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester polymer is obtained as the material having the oil repellency or oil repellency or both which are compatible by reacting an acrylic polymer or a methacrylic polymer with a fluorine-containing epoxy compound. A method for producing the polymer is provided. The polymer has excellent water repellency and oil repellency and can simply be produced without using the special polymerization equipment.
