PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable polyester-based film suitable for a beverage container label while excellent in close adhesion with various inks, exhibiting a good separating property in an aqueous alkaline solution and also excellent in various characteristics such as blocking resistance, sliding property, etc. SOLUTION: This heat shrinkable polyester-based film has≥50% heat shrinkage in its maximum shrinking direction when a sample obtained by cutting out the film by 10 cm x 10 cm square shape is immersed in warm water at 95°C for 10 sec, pulled up, then immersed in water at 25°C for 10 sec and then pulled up. At an uppermost layer of the first surface of the film, the nitrogen atom content is 0.2-5.0 atomic%, and the dynamic frictional coefficient of the second surfaces of the films with each other isμd≤0.28. Also, the dynamic frictional coefficient of the second surfaces of the films with each other isμd≤0.30 after the film is immersed into warm water at 80°C for 20 to have it shrinked by 10% in its maximum shrinking direction, then pulled up and dried naturally under an atmosphere at 23°C and 65% relative humidity for 24 hr.
