CARRIAGE CONVEYANCE BELT, COUPLING/HOLDING DEVICE, RECORDER, AND LIQUID JET DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling/holding device wherein it is possible to surely prevent vibrations of a transverse wave and a longitudinal wave from being transmitted to a carriage from a vibration source such as a motor through a belt, and a dumper is not taken off suddenly. SOLUTION: The coupling/holding device couples a carriage conveyance belt 152 suspended between a drive pulley and a follower pulley 151 to a carriage 104 which has a recording head mounted thereon and is reciprocated in the main scanning direction in conjunction with the driving of the belt 152 to retain the coupling between the belt 152 and the carriage 104. The coupling/holding device comprises a holder 14 formed on the carriage 104 and the dumper 160 as a vibration absorption material which is fitted in the holder and engaged with the belt 152 in the nipping condition. A projection 152a is formed on the outer face of the belt 152 and a recessed section 160d fitted to the projection 152a is formed on the outer side engagement face of the dumper 160.
