A user interface with software lensing may be described. An apparatus may comprise a user interface module to display information objects for an electronic program guide, receive movement information from a remote control, and move a pointer in response to the movement information. The apparatus may further include a media lensing module to increase a first information object to a first size when the pointer approaches or coincides with the first information object.
