The device has a local oscillator (7) for generating a high frequency signal, and a set of mono-static transmitting and receiving devices (6a - 6d) that is coupled with the local oscillator. Each of the transmitting and receiving devices exhibits a patch antenna (1a - 1d) for transmitting the high frequency signal and for receiving a reflected portion of the high frequency signal. A signal delay section (2a - 2d, 3a - 3d) is switched for delaying the high frequency signal at a constant duration between the antenna and the local oscillator.
