A disc device (100) is provided with a disc processing section (20), a driving motor (41), a drive transmission gear group (42) and a loading arm (51) in the vicinity of a loading/ejecting port (14) on a case (10). Thus, a space which does not interfere with swinging of the disc processing section (20) on the loading/ejecting port (14) is effectively used, and the sizes of the disc device (100) can be reduced by arranging the driving motor (41), the drive transmission gear group (42) and the loading arm (51) in the space.
