<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a tridymite by which the tridymite can be efficiently manufactured at a low temperature and for a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises mixing a quartz particle having an average particle diameter of at least 50 μm and an aqueous solution of potassium carbonate, thereafter removing water by a heating, and carrying out a firing. Wherein the heating is carried out by a microwave heating, it is preferred that the added quantity of the potassium carbonate is 2-4 mass% against the quartz particle, and in the firing the firing temperature is at least 1,250°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
