<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reproducibility of a thin line while preventing the thin line from too thickening. <P>SOLUTION: A thin line extraction section 111B detect an oblique line in an input image and adds Tag information to pixels constituting the detected oblique line. A laser control section 220 controls a light source section 230 so that an electrostatic latent image to which one extra pixel is added in a main scanning direction is formed as to the pixels to which the Tag information is added. Consequently, the oblique line increases in line width in the horizontal scanning direction, the electrostatic latent image becomes continuous when a photoreceptor 400 is exposed, and the potential of the electrostatic latent image becomes high enough to develop a toner image, thereby improving the producibility of the thin line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
