<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear made from a resin composition containing glass fibers for an electric power steering device which has high performance and high reliability, can improve mechanical strength, dimensional change due to water absorption, anti-fatigue characteristic or the like, and prevent the gear teeth from being worn and broken especially even when a high surface pressure is applied. <P>SOLUTION: The reduction gear for an electric power steering device transmits the output of an electric motor for generating the steering auxiliary output to a steering shaft, and has a gear which is formed of a resin composition containing the glass fibers having an irregular shaped cross section at a rate of 10 to 50 mass% and where the gear teeth are formed on the outer peripheral surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
