<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of improving an oxidation resistance of a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The nickel alloy substrate 10 has a surface 12, and a platinum layer 14 is preferably deposited on the surface 12 by using an electroplating technique. A layer 16 of an Ni-Al-Hf material is deposited on the platinum layer. A scale layer 18 of aluminum oxide is formed on a bondcoat prior to or during deposition of a ceramic layer 20. The ceramic topcoat layer 20 is characterized by a microstructure of a columnar crystal extending substantially perpendicular to the surface 12 and outward from the bondcoat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
