PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose derivative film that has sufficiently low retardation (Rth) in the direction of film thickness in the case of use as a protection film for a polarizing plate, low equilibrium moisture content and improved durability at a high temperature and humidity.

SOLUTION: The cellulose derivative film comprises at least a cellulose derivative containing a substituent group with polarizability anisotropy of ≥2.5×10-24cm3and one or more kinds of retardation regulators satisfying a specific numerical expression.
