<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device capable of reducing remodeling cost while improving comfortableness of a car when remodeling an elevator for installing a speed detector in an existing hoisting machine. <P>SOLUTION: The hoisting machine has an electric motor (a motor) 1. A pulse generator 6 is installed in the electric motor 1. A speed signal (a pulse signal) is generated by detecting rotation of the electric motor 1. An inverter 12 is connected to the electric motor 1 via a current detector 11. The inverter 12, the current detector 11 and the pulse detector 6 are connected to a control device body 13.
