PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved data coding method with which spectrum efficiency can be improved. SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes the steps of: coding one or more data symbols d0, d1, ... by using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), and using Hermite polynomials Hn as an orthogonal function system for the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, whereby an OFDM-signal S(f) is obtained; transforming the OFDM-signal S(f) into the time domain thus obtaining a time domain signal s(t); performing a step of time division multiplexing (TDM) by combining the time domain signal s(t) with one or more further time domain signals s1(t), s2(t), ..., whereby a TDM-signal s'(t) is obtained.
