PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus, an electronic document creation method in the image reading apparatus, and an electronic document creation program in which scanned documents are bound for a desired unit, a time stamp is added thereto, and documents can be automatically processed while shifting the time to another date/time subsequent to a date/time when the documents are scanned, by a single scanner. SOLUTION: A scanner 10 applies an electronic signature 22 to scan image data 21 of a scan document 20 read by a document reader 12 and stored in a scan document storage region 145. If a processing start condition described in an instruction statement 1411 is fulfilled and there is a bind instruction, a plurality of signed scan image data 21 to be processed are bound, presentation document data 147 are created to which an equipment signature 1421 and a TST 31 acquired from a TSA 30 via a network 50 are added, and stored in a scanner storage section 14 or any designated place of a file server 40.
