PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display device improved in productivity and power-saving. SOLUTION: A frame 11 of a filament support member 10 is divided and the divided frames are coupled with a space by a coupling member 12 of insulative material, and thus the divided frames are insulated from each other. As a result, since cathodes 123 can be supplied with currents respectively in the divided frame basis, the cathode 123 supplied with a current can be selected in accordance with display of the fluorescent display device, thereby attaining power-saving. Since fixing the divided frames 11 by the coupling member 12 allows the cathodes 123 to be selectively supplied with currents, the existing complicated structure is unnecessary, and as a result productivity is improved.
