PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filler having a good separation capacity of a water soluble polymer and a low-molecular compound and capable of suppressing an obstruction peak which obstructs the detection of a very small amount of a low-molecular compound under a specific gradient condition. SOLUTION: Alkoxyalkyl acrylate such as methoxyethyl acrylate or the like is subjected to graft polymerization on a porous organic high-molecular carrier capable of adsorbing the low-molecular compound to obtain the filler. As the porous organic high-molecular raw material monomer serving as the carrier, a compound having two ethylenic carbon-carbon double bonds and one hydroxy group such as glycerine dimethacrylate or the like is preferable. Further, methoxyethyl acrylate is preferably subjected to graft polymerization in a ratio of 1-20 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the porous organic high-molecular carrier.
