PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cooling device in which a load on a radiator is reduced by stabilizing the temperature of a cooling water fed into an engine. SOLUTION: In the engine cooling device of this embodiment, an ECU 6 controls an electric thermostat 3 and an electric fan 9 simultaneously to set the temperature of the cooling water near to a target temperature and stabilizing at that temperature. While the temperature of the cooling water detected by a water temperature sensor 7 varies within a predetermined temperature range, the output of the electric fan 9 is kept unchanged. When the temperature exceeds the predetermined temperature range, the output of the electric fan 9 is raised or lowered stepwise controllably. Consequently, the temperature of the cooling water can be stabilized by reducing the interference of the control of the electric fan 4 with the control of the electric thermostat 3.
