PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of constructing a lightweight banking structure which does not require heavy equipment and the temporary construction work of a working platform etc., is low in cost, excellent in workability, safety, flexibility, and follow-up capability, small in deformation, and maintains safety and reliability over a long period of time. SOLUTION: According to the construction method, when the lightweight banking structure is constructed by stacking up foamed resin blocks inside a wall body, a first support member S1 is erected on a foundation (foundation concrete) 1, and a first wall surface panel P1 is mounted on the front surface of the first support member S1, and a first foamed block B1 is arranged on the rear surface of the support member S1. Then the operator mounts on the first foamed resin block B1 to connect a second support member S2 to the first support member S1, and connects a second wall surface panel P2 to the first wall surface panel P1 via a cushioning member 2 on the front surface of the second support member S2, and a second foamed resin block B2 is stacked on the first foamed resin block B1 on the rear surface of the second support member S2.
