PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and securely identify defective units by a worker by displaying the defective units on a display means, reduce burdens on the worker, eliminate removal errors, prevent defective units from being flowed out to a rear stage, and conform with manufacturing statistics by eliminating only defective units from a manufacturing line. SOLUTION: This article inspection device 1 is provided with a conveying means 2 for conveying objects to be inspected; an inspection means 8 for inspecting the objects to be inspected conveyed by the conveying means 2; a determination means 9 for determining whether the objects to be inspected are non-defective or defective by comparing inspection results by the inspection means 8 with a set condition; and a conveyance control means 10 for stopping the conveying means 2 when the determination means 9 determines that the objects to be inspected are defective. The article inspection device 1 is further provided with an input means 7 to input beforehand a stop position of the objects to be inspected when the conveying means 2 is stopped and with the display means 13 for displaying a stop position of the defective units in a predetermined display state based on the input stop position.
